The Parallel Economy

There is much talk today about forming a parallel economy. Andrew Torba, founder of GAB is a big proponent of this. His hopes are to form a place where decent people can conduct business outside of the filth and scum of the sinful atheistic world. I hope he succeeds. The world system has moved into, what they call, a post Christian era. They are even attempting to rename our dating nomenclature from BC/AD to BCE/CE which I addressed in another article. All things clean and pure are now replaced with disease and horror. The hope of Torba is to circumvent this travesty by creating a safe harbor that those things cannot enter. So, is this really a new idea or perhaps an old idea reworked?
I can now think of two other times that this system is mentioned in the biblical record. The first is mentioned way back at the formation of Israel and the second was the formation of the New Israel. The first parallel economy was that of Israel. After the events of the Tower of Babel, God mentions 70 nations. This is a basic formation of the earth and the number 70 follows other significant events such as the 70 souls that entered Egypt and also the 70 elders that followed Moses up Mt. Sinai. One notable item is that Israel is not part of the 70 nations. Israel was formed shortly afterwards as God chose Abraham to form a covenant with. God then developed his plan through his sons, Isaac and Jacob. God, in other words, formed a parallel economy using the house of Jacob. The Jews were to be his people and YHWH was to be their God, thus forming a distinct contrast with the rest of the heathen world which was governed by pagan gods. Deuteronomy 7:6 puts it this way;
“For you are a [b]holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth.
Remember that the word “holy” means separate from. This was the first parallel economy. For the next fifteen hundred years Israel attempted to be a light to the world but failed miserably. Only a small elect group made any attempt to remain holy and obedient to the commands of God. It almost appeared that there was a parallel economy in the midst of the parallel economy. The Apostle Paul had much to say about that in the book of Romans.
Paul also explained that that first parallel economy was about to be replaced with a new parallel economy. Paul’s letter is a manifesto describing a shift from the old to the new, from the law to grace and from Jew to everybody. Paul warned that there was a judgment that was about to take place. This was to judge Israel for their unfaithfulness to Him. In this judgment, God was to replace the first parallel economy with a new parallel economy which would be everlasting. This was also explained by John in Revelation 21 where he saw the New Jerusalem coming down from God. In this new parallel economy, Jesus will be our king and we will be His people. For the wicked John 21:8 puts it this way:
But the cowardly, [e]unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
And eliminated from God’s parallel economy would be all Democrats, or as John would put it in Rev 22:15:
But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.
When Jesus returned in AD70, He punished his harlot wife and was then remarried to true Israel, the church. In this church there is no room for perverts or liars. Those are outside and cannot see inside unless they are invited by Jesus Christ and are born again. This parallel economy is everlasting and has no end and is always right. It cannot be diluted or polluted. It is holy and sanctified to God Almighty. It is the only stabilizing effect in the world and cannot be destroyed. It is a safe harbor for those willing to be brave and follow Jesus Christ into it. It is not for the cowardly or the deranged or the weak. It is our only hope.
