In today’s world and in these modern times our seminary students are taught
to interpret scripture from our unique times, culture, language, semantics and
feelings. However, when scripture is based on original parameters such as:

What are the cultural and semantical norms of that time?
When was he speaking?
To whom was he speaking?
To whom was the event about?
When would the event occur?
What was the event about?
Why would the event occur?
Where would the event take place?
What reason is it for?
Who was the person speaking?
Once you apply these simple hermeneutic basics things become a little more
clear.
